]]> In April 2023, top Apex Legends players, amateurs, and celebrities united to game, entertain, and support the fight against AIDS. Thanks to the incredible Apex community, (RED) partners, and the team at Apex Rising, the event was a smashing success, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in just two nights. So we thought… why not do it again?

Tomorrow we’re kicking off the second Apex Rising Charity Pro-Am Invitational. We’re thrilled to be back with a huge roster of players who want to help make an impact. Here’s everything you need to know:

What is the Apex Rising Charity Pro-Am Invitational?: 

40 top pro Apex Legends players from around the world are teaming up with 40 amateur players, celebrities, and community members for what is sure to be an epic Apex Legends esports tournament. All donations made through Tiltify will support (RED)’s fight to end AIDS.

The event is hosted by Jon “Falloutt” Kefaloukos, former professional gamer and current Apex Legends shoutcaster/event organizer, and features well-known players from around the globe including TSM’s ImperialHal and Verhulst, as well as Alliance’s Hakis. They have also confirmed that DJ Elephante and How to Get Away With Murder actor Jack Falahee will compete in the tournament.

Those tuning in will have the chance to win awesome giveaways from (RED) partners.

When and where can I watch?

The Apex Rising Charity Pro-Am Invitational will take place on December 14th & 15th beginning at 3pm PT/6pm ET. Tune in on (RED)’s Twitch and YouTube channels or on your favorite participant’s stream.

]]> Calling all gamers! On December 1st, (RED) is kicking off a season of fundraising to fight COVID with The (RED) Creator Cup.

What Is the (RED) Creator Cup?

The (RED) Creator Cup is a special livestream gaming event on Twitch and YouTube, bringing together creators, influencers and fans across the web to raise urgent funds for COVID relief where it’s needed most.

Creators including Krinios, Nihachu, Gee Nelly, WillNE, Miaxmon, Dev1ce, Legundo, Loony and more to be revealed, will work in pairs to play a special (RED) Minecraft world.  When fans donate to fight COVID, their donations will trigger real-time in-game events, including food items for the players, fireworks, Lucky Blocks, tamed wolves and even explosive creepers!

Plus, fans will also be able to access (RED)’s brand new Tiltify fundraising tools to host their own fundraising streams, whenever they like, wherever they are.

Following the main event, gaming fans will be able to host their own GAME (RED) SAVE LIVES fundraising streams using (RED)’s Tiltify fundraising tools. In addition, brand-new custom (RED) cosmetics, created by Spark Universe, will be available to purchase, with all revenue going to fight COVID.

If you’re wondering how a $10 food delivery can help save lives, look no further than The (RED) Creator Cup on December 1! As part of this very special streamed event, leading creators from around the world will work in teams to play a special (RED) Minecraft world. Fans will have multiple opportunities to trigger in-game events simply by donating. For a $5 donation to fight COVID, fans can spawn a particle heart, while $10 gets an in-game food delivery and the ‘Just Eat Extra Slice’ moments will enable fans to check out the food delivery fun and action from around the tournament, live!

Thanks to Just Eat Takeaway’s generous support of The (RED) Creator Cup, enough will be raised to provide at least 20,000 COVID tests or vaccines where they are needed most! 

There are a number of other in-game features triggered by generous fan donations; a $20 donation spawns a firework, and $50 gets the players a Lucky Block loot drop, while a tamed Pet Wolf will be introduced for a $100 donation. A Creeper from the sky will be spawned on each player in the team for a donation of $250!

Tonight, legendary content creator and philanthropist DrLupo will stream live on Twitch alongside 2x Grammy winner, world-renowned producer and DJ Steve Aoki in support of (RED)’s fight against pandemics. During the stream, fans and followers will have the opportunity to learn more about (RED) and donate to the Global Fund COVID-19 Response via Tiltify. All donations will go directly to support programs that help millions of people impacted by global health emergencies, including AIDS and COVID. Tripling the impact, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will generously match two dollars for every dollar donated during streams, up to $250,000.

The livestream will take place on Monday, July 12th at 5PM (PT) / 7PM (CT) / 8PM (ET) on DrLupo’s Twitch channel. As part of the stream, DrLupo will give fans the chance to donate directly to (RED)’s fight against pandemics, announce surprise incentives, and much more.

This is the second time Apple’s App Store is turning (RED). In 2014, Apps for (RED) turned your iPhone and iPad into an AIDS-fighting force and we’re doing it again for our 10th anniversary. 2016 marks not only 10 years of (RED) – it’s 10 years of Apple and (RED).

The Games:

In Angry Birds 2, you can purchase the (GEM PILE)RED from the in-game shop. In addition to the (GEM PILE)RED, there is a special spell, and a set of custom superhero masks that you can use in the game through December 6. (Rovio)

In Candy Crush Jelly Saga’s exclusive (TREASURES)RED event, you can battle bosses and steal treasures for a limited time while also picking up the (MARVELOUS MIX)RED bundle that includes boosters. (King)

When playing Clash Royale,  you can purchase the (HERO PACK)RED which will give you a (POUCH OF GEMS) RED and a limited time red King tower! You can also continue to purchase the (POUCH OF GEMS)RED. (Supercell)
